BIQ Inspection

On site – East Peoria, IL

Basic Responsibilities:

• • BIQ Defect/RPRT Containment: stop the flow of defects/stop time and resolve on work in process
    • Perform a variety of inspections to check the quality and accuracy of parts and record in the appropriate systems as needed.
    • Operate and program collaborative robot inspection vision system to check the quality and accuracy of parts as needed.
    • Respond to downtime Andon lights and document issues as needed.
  • Defect/RPRT Problem Description: investigate defect/stop time through operators, systems and support teams
  • Defect/RPRT Sort: review the overall process to validate cause area and assign ownership
  • Defect/RPRT Feedback: daily discussion/training with operators on their defects/stop time and future prevention
    • Escalation of repeat issues
    • CI Cards
    • Quality/Velocity Alerts
    • Review with leaders
  • Defect/RPRT Root Cause: partner with operations, quality, manufacturing engineering, design engineering and others to root cause defects/stop time and determine potential solutions
    • Participate in and support BIQ SORT/VOCC/CI meetings
    • Present in BIQ sort meetings and facilitate collaboration on major defects and root cause
    • Analyze data to identify focus areas and additional needs of the value stream
    • Assist with projects that focus on improving quality to support the value stream

Qualifications:

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• 2-3 years Prior Machining experience
• Demonstrated teamwork skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with strong work ethic
• Accountable and professional attitude
• Desire to improve the Culture of Quality

Desired Qualifications:

• 2 years prior Inspection/Quality Experience
• Caterpillar 1E specifications or print reading
• Prior AQE experience
• Previous BIQ exposure or specific role
• Comparable external experience to any of the above
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office e.g. Excel, PowerPoint
